In the spring of 2017, Watershed was hired by a private land owner and the Sanders County Conservation District to remove an illegal dam impounding water on a spring in Plains MT. Watershed designed, permitted, and constructed the new wetland. The pond was pumped and breached, and following several months of site drainage, the dam was removed. A new wetland was constructed to mimic conditions before the dam was built. Following the completion of construction, we planted several thousand wetland plugs and containerized wetland shrubs.
